Walk Slowly

Walk Slowly, By Danna Faulds
It only takes a reminder to breathe,
a moment to be still,
an just be like that,
something in me settles,
softens makes space for imperfection.
charging forward without even knowing where I am going,
that many times I can make the choice to stop,
The harsh voice of judgment drops to a whisperer
and I remember again that life is not a relay race:
that we will all cross the finish line:
that waking up to life is what we were born for.
As many times as I forget, catch myself
to breathe,
and be,
and walk slowly into the mystery.

I found this poetry during a silent night in a meditation retreat. I was astonished by this poetry and I can't resist to share this in my blog and social media. If I'm not mistaken, the inspiration behind this poetry is to explain the beauty of walking meditation.
The idea of walking meditation is not about getting anywhere.
The idea is to get nowhere but consciously stay in the body
Able to feel how the weight moves from one foot to another foot and how it happens
The idea of walking meditation is simply to be here and now.
*Disclaimer, I do not own this poetry
